ORGANIZATIONAL OBJECTIVE

The Security Police Officers Association strives to improve the working conditions, promote safety awareness, safeguard employment rights and civil liberties, educate our membership professionally and socially and engage in collective bargaining to an equitable means through effective communications with employer. Ultimately the officers are charged with protecting and serving the Laboratory and outlying community.

## Any board member is also fully capable of performing duties as a Shift Representative

This list is for availability of Shift Representation whenever an Officer requests a representative. Individual Officers have the right to request due representation whenever they feel it becomes necessary. This right does not extend beyond the individual control of the Officer, nor can it be abridged in any manner that would have management arbitrarily assign a Shift Rep., unless the Officer finds no fault in accepting the most available representative at the time. However, this does not stop an Officer from requesting a specific representative for the matter at hand, either on this list or not.
